Proteomics & Bioinformatics

February 23, 2013

Proteomics is the large-scale research of proteins, particularly their structures and functions. Proteins are important parts of living organisms, as they are the primary elements of the physiological metabolic pathways of cells. The importance of proteins and the significant role they play is explained in detail by renowned professors at the Conference of Proteomics by OMICS Publishing Group. The word proteome is a blend of protein and genome, and was coined by Marc Wilkins in 1994.

Image showing Proteomics-BioinformaticsThe proteome is the whole supplement of necessary protein, such as the variations created to a particular set of proteins produced by an organism or system. This will vary with time and distinct requirements, or stress upon the cells. Proteomics is an interdisciplinary field established on the basis of the research and development of the Human Genome Project that is supported by events like the Proteomics Conference by OMICS Publishing Group.  Newer discoveries are emerging in terms of the proteome analysis from the overall level of intracellular protein composition, structure, and its =unique activity patterns. These genomics are revealed and explained at the OMICS Conference of Proteomics through various presentations and panel discussions.

While proteomics generally represents the large-scale trial research of necessary proteins, it is often specifically used for proteins filtration and mass spectrometry. The study of processes for storing and obtaining bio-information is called Bioinformatics. As with other bioinformatics resources, the proteomics are intended as a replacement for lab techniques, but rather as a supplement to work done in a wet lab. The bioinformatics tools can be extremely useful time savers, and can provide a possible place to start with experimentation. OMICS Conference on proteomics by experts demonstrates how to narrow down a problem domain, or provide potential solutions to problems which would be very difficult or impossible to determine. The OMICS Publishing Group organizes the proteomics conference as part of about 90 conferences organized through the calendar year.

Being the part of the Science Publishing World, OMICS Publishing Group invites all the participants around the world to attend the 3rd International Conference on Proteomics & Bioinformatics in July 2013. The venue for this Conference is DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, USA.
